Experience the Difference
Tim Ingram grew up in Okmulgee, OK and was around the funeral business from a young age. He would get out of High School during the day in the event of a funeral service to play the organ or piano at their local funeral homes. After High School graduation, he built his own house and started working at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Tim met his wife Christy at Oral Roberts University where they attended nursing school together. After graduation, he worked as a Registered Nurse with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing for many years including in the areas of ER, ICU, and Hospice. Around Christmas 2014, God reignited the dream of owning a funeral home to serve as a ministry to those in time of need and Tim obediently answered the call. In faith, Tim and Christy
packed up their three kids and moved to Oklahoma City to enroll in the funeral program at University of Central Oklahoma. Under the direction of Scott Smith with the Vondel L. Smith Mortuary family, Tim worked as an apprentice and funeral director. Tim graduated with his Bachelor of Funeral Science and Embalming. In January 2017, Tim took over the operations at Smith & Turner in Yukon. With a background of nursing helping with end of life care, Tim brings that same compassion which gives him a stronger connection to the families he serves at Smith & Turner on a personal level relating to their journey. Tim involves himself in the community as a board member of the non-profit organizations Compassionate Hands and United Way; is very active in the Chamber of Commerce; and attends many community events with his family at the Dale Robertson Center, City of Yukon, and Yukon Public Schools.
Christy Ingram spent most of her childhood in Montana enjoying the beautiful
mountains, outdoor activities, and a musical upbringing. She moved back to her
birth state of Oklahoma for college at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa. Following
graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she gained experience as a
Registered Nurse in pediatrics. She now works occasionally in the Labor and
Delivery Unit at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon specializing in
neonatal critical care and also coordinates their Perinatal Bereavement Program.
Christy enjoys working side-by-side with husband Tim at Smith & Turner. She
utilizes her creativity as the Director of Marketing and Development, bookkeeper,
and helps design unique and personal service set-ups, DVD picture slideshows,
and specialized memorabilia. With her life insurance producer license, she meets with families to pre-arrange their funeral or memorial services in advance. To raise funds for the Mabel C. Fry Library in Yukon, Christy is a member and treasurer of the Yukon Ladies Library Club. Christy is a mother to three wonderful children, Maximus, Abigail, and Victoria, who attend a local Yukon School. The Ingram family enjoys outdoor activities, camping and fishing, reading books from the library, and playing games together. Christy and Tim attend the Yukon Life.Church location and support local ministries in the community.
