As a Locally Owned and Operated funeral business, Jones Family Funeral Homes is committed to looking after its communities, and its families. We live, play, raise our families, and volunteer in our communities. Our effort to give back can be seen in the hundreds of organizations we support every year.

Our licensed funeral directors are committed to ensuring that all of your needs are attended to. Our care and compassion is genuine, because we truly care. We are dedicated to the community and to the families we serve.
W Weston Jones
Manager/Owner, Funeral Director, Embalmer
Weston is a lifelong resident of the area, currently living in Amherst, NS. He has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1995. Weston and his wife Jill have five adult children living both locally and throughout the Maritimes.
Timothy Jones
Manager/Owner, Funeral Director, Embalmer
Timothy is a resident of the area, currently living in Sackville, NB with his wife Jennifer and their two children. Timothy has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 2007.
Timothy and Weston are Co-Owners of Jones Family Funeral Homes along with their parents David and Jane Jones, now both retired. The Jones Family began in the funeral business in the 1930’s with David’s parents Fred and Jennie Jones. Due to retirement, neighbouring funeral home Furlongs Funeral Home in Amherst, NS was acquired from the Furlong Family in 2005. The River Hebert and Joggins Funeral Home was acquired from the MacDiarmid Family in 2007. A.H. Brown Funeral Home of Springhill, and W. Allen Funeral Home, of Oxford, NS were both acquired in 2009. This small circle of funeral homes has allowed us to improve our service to our communities by sharing knowledge, employees, and much more. We also have our own crematorium, on site in Amherst, NS, allowing us to offer local cremations quickly and affordably.

Our Aftercare program is specifically designed around the needs of each family. We continue to assist you after the funeral, whether it be with Insurance claims, government documents and applications, or just general questions. We continue to be there to offer support and help.
